Police say Rev. Canon Paul Wancura, 87, was discovered seriously injured inside his home (3 Oak Tree Lane) at around 12:40 p.m. on March 19, 2018.
The house had been burglarized, police say, and jewelry, including the Lucien Piccard Seashark watch pictured above, was taken.
Wancura was transported by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he died about a month later on April 16, police say.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a fast-cash reward of $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest. The reward will be issued within 72 hours.
